LooHoo Wool Dryer Balls

Today I am sharing with you a company I found called LooHoo. They have wool dryer balls of many colors.

LooHoo wool dryer balls (formerly Wooly Rounds) are a playful, sustainable alternative to dryer sheets that helps protect your family’s health and the environment.
Unlike many commercial dryer sheets, LooHoo wool dryer balls are all-natural and contain no harmful chemicals or toxins, making them ideal to use with all laundry including delicate garments such as baby clothes and cloth diapers. As LooHoo wool dryer balls tumble in your dryer, they naturally soften fabrics leaving your clothes smelling fresh and clean.

Here is the package that I was sent.
Inside was this....
I saw sent 4 but here is the pricing and info for a set of 3 starter pack.

Starter pack (3) – $26.85

Starter packs of 3 are a perfect amount for those that are new to using LooHoo wool dryer balls. Ideal for small to medium loads in apartment or regular-size dryers. Assorted colors are packaged in a reusable cloth bag.

These are great for our purpose. I really love them. They really eliminate the static and the clothing comes out less wrinkled. I can not wait to get more of these and add to my dryer. I'm not sure how many are the right number to have in your stash but I'm sure that you can't have to many of them. I would love to have some colored ones as well.

WAHM Winter Wonderland: UpCycled Love Woolie Love Bums & Giveaway

Ok so i know this was supposed to end on Friday but we had 1 more mom sneak in for a bonus review/giveaway. I have worked with this WAHM many times and purchased many items from her and she never disappoints me. Here is her Bio

Hello! My name is Alaina Kroes and I started Upcycled Love in order to give woolie loving families an affordable wool options. I started making woolies when I researched the retail woolie prices for my son. Coincidentally, a few days later I shrunk my husband's wool sweater and I new there would be way to use it for cloth diapering. I scour local stores for gently used wool and upcycle them into soakers (extra layer of wool in wetzone), covers, shorties and longies.
Wool is an amazing fiber and I would love to make your little one cozy woolies!!!

Here is what we received.
These are her Woolie Love Bums. They are size 1 and fit from 3 Months to 3 years. These are at the largest setting, This is the backside and here is the front.
I almost died when I saw these they are so cute! They retail for $24 and she has alot of great sweaters to choose from. So in order to get these to fit multiple sizes you will fold or roll the waist and the legs. Here is how it looks on our little man.

The Willow Store Cover Review & Giveaway

Willowstore_logoLogo_sprout-change

I know most of my readers are cloth diapering moms. So you will love this review and giveaway from The Willow Store. I did a review of their Hemp Prefolds and you can read that one HERE. Today's review is on their Covers  they retail for $16.95 the one shown is the Robins Egg Shell.

Sprout Change shells are the perfect diaper cover. One size that actually fits baby from 5 to 40 pounds. No extra bulk, just convenience and quick diaper changes. They have only one snap setting, so changes are a flash, even for baby sitters that may not be used to cloth diapers.

Sprout Change uses a unique sizing system that makes it simple to adjust the size while baby is wearing the diaper cover, just open the wing pockets, adjust the hidden buttonhole elastic in the legs and waist, and forget it! No need to adjust the size of the diaper until baby's next growth spurt.

Sprout Change can be used with traditional prefolds or our Super Saver Inserts. They do also fit most other brands of diaper inserts.
Designed for versatility! Our cloth diapers save parents over $2,000 if used from birth through potty training, and kids in cloth tend to learn the potty an average of 6 months sooner than disposable diapered babies.

Sprout Change Shells are the only reversible diaper! This means you get two covers in one. Can't decide if you like side snapping or front snapping? You get both! Simply reverse the shell to flip the snapping position. (Side snapping works great for older children, it's harder for them to unsnap it themselves. Front snapping are great for newborns-they snap closed just like traditional diapers). Comes with complete sizing and care instructions. Designed by a mom, and Made in the USA.

This is a great cover and so easy to use. I like that you get 2 covers in one. This fits great over a fitted or a prefold.

One Lucky TTGG follower will be winning one of these covers of their very own!

WAHM Winter Wonderland: String Beans Cloth Diapers & Giveaway

I stumbled across String Bean Diapers on Hyena Cart and I am so glad that I did. She has the cutest prints on her hybrid fitted diapers. Here is her bio.

I am a WAHM mom of 6 little ones.  My 5th child Abigail is my inspiration behind String Beans, and named after her.  I have worked for B&M cloth stores and really enjoyed bringing families to the cloth world.  We turned to cloth when my third was born.  I got frustrated at the PUL and microfiber troubles and decided to switch to fitteds.  I had a tough time finding fitteds that would hold them and gave in to making my own.

Here is the diaper that I received.
It looked great and was packed so professionally. The colors were great and I love how the snaps match the inside.
My husband was in love with this diaper as soon as he saw it this is her Jack OS Fitted diaper and it retails for $28.00.
Includes Fold Over rise
Every One Size String Beans diaper features the following:
Hidden snaps for ultimate comfort
Double snap in soaker for 8 total layers OBF and 4 layers of coordinating CV/ OBV
Coordinating soaker snaps for easier sorting
Extended snap settings for longer wear, fits most babies 10-35+ lbs
I love the bright color of the inside and it is super soft. The inserts are a nice size .
You can snap the smaller one in the middle or the larger one for extra protection or just use the larger one by itself.
I like to use this diaper at night and at nap times. We used this diaper from 9-7 and used our wool longies over top and we had no leaks. Here is how it looks on.

Now the backside.
Such a cute bottom!! I LOVE LOVE this diaper and it is great that I have found a diaper that will have no leaks with that long in it.

One lucky TTGG follower will be winning a OS diaper of their own!

WAHM Winter Wonderland:Geeky Cheeks Cloth Diapers

This afternoon's WAHM is Ashley from Geeky Cheeks Cloth Diapers. You can find her on FACEBOOK and ETSY. Here is her Bio.

My name is Ashley and I am the owner of Geeky Cheeks boutique from Texas.I am married and mother to an active one year old boy. I started cloth diapering a little late in the game (5 months) but I became instantly OBSESSED! I decided to make some for my son out of old T-shirts and woven fabrics and they turned out rather nice. My sweet husband suggested I make some to sell and that's when Geeky Cheeks Boutique was born. I specialize in hybrid fitteds but I'm going to dip my hands into some all in 2s soon! Each hybrid fitted is constructed from an inner layer of organic bamboo velour, a hidden layer of poly-fleece, and a decorative outer layer from a cotton knit, cotton woven, or in occasion Minky. The soaker is petal style and made to easily snap in and out. It is made from 4 super thirsty layers of super heavy organic bamboo fleece topped with the same velour on the inner of the diaper shell. I work hard to ensure each diaper is compliant with CPSIA rules and regulations so you know your baby is wearing a safe handmade product. I do take custom orders and I'd love to make one for your little one!

I tried out one of her Hybrid Fitted Diapers which retail for $27.00-$28.00. Here is the one we tried. 100% cotton knit, a hidden layer of poly fleece, and an inner layer of soft, luxurious organic bamboo velour.
Ok so when I saw the Christmas Grinch print i almost died. One of my all time favorite Christmas shows to watch and I was so excited to put this diaper on this babies bottom. It has a snap down rise and snaps across the waist with cross over snaps. That is a must for us with a skinny baby especially getting a good fit with fitted diapers. This is out favorite style that I will choose.
Now once you can get past the super cute print lets go look at the inside.
I was a little nervous that the inside was white but so far so good. We usually try to stay away from white diaper just in case. The inside is so soft and it is made out of a 5 layer petal style soaker. 4 layers of super heavy organic bamboo fleece topped with the same velour used inside the shell of the diaper. Making every part that touched your baby 100% organic.
All of her diapers come with a label on the inside with washing and care directions as well as manufacture and batch date.
Here is how the diaper looks on.
He is 17 lbs and I can still cross it all the way over to make a nice tight fit. These diapers are not waterproof so you will need a cover. I like to use this diaper for nap time. If the front wasn't cute enough look at the backside.
Now if that doesn't say have a merry Christmas I don't know what does. Make sure to check her out of facebook she is having a giveaway as soon as she hits 500 likes. Go over HERE and show her some love and win a super cute diaper.

I try to offer affordable, yet well-made wool diaper covers, longies, shorties, booties, baby legs, baby clothes, hats, baby items (bibs, burp cloths, mattress pads, etc), mama items (nursing pads, arm warmers, diaper bags and wet bags) and more! My skirties have detachable unders which allow for endless mix and match options! I pride myself on the care and love that I put into each of my creations. Each Wooly Mama Wear Purchase supports my efforts as a stay at home mom to create a happy and healthy sustainable life and homestead for my family, and for this I am so grateful!

We tried out one of her awesome Os Wool covers here is the one I received. It was even softer than i thought it would be.
This cover is a OS fits most (small nb's and large toddlers excluded). It is an angora/cashmere blend and is lined with cashmere.

It has reinforcements under the snaps to help prevent any tearing with the delicate cashmere.
The one we tried has a custom hedgehog pattern on the butt so cute!!! I used this over a fitted diaper and the fit is great.
Here is my favorite shot the backside!!
It is so adorable i just love it. We love to use this cover at nap times and overnight. It is very trim and we have not had a leak yet. It came lanolized and ready to go and i love that. I will then just clean and Lanolize when needed. If you don't know how to lanolize I have a how to video HERE. Wool is so easy to use we also even use them in the summer. They are so breathable yet absorbent they are a great addition to any cloth diaper collection.

One lucky TTGG follower will be winning a custom wool cover!
