Go Green Go: Fat Apple Diapers Hybrid Fitted Review & Giveaway

I was excited to try out Fat Apple Diapers. We have been using fitted diapers at nighttime only and so far so good. Now that baby is 9 months old the other brand we were using at nighttime was not enough. These diapers retail for around $25 plus shipping. Here is the diaper i received.

This is the Badgers and the gang knit fabric and I totally love it! This diaper is a hybrid fitted diaper and here is some info about it from her page.

FIT AND WEIGHT RANGES
Fat Apples come in 2 sizes:

• The “Baby Apple” fit is the original one size fit and ranges from around 10-25 lbs. depending on the weight distribution of your baby.
• The “Apple Jax” fit is a toddler fit that goes up to around 35 lbs., and has longer wings that cross on larger babies.

DIAPER CONSTRUCTION

The shell of a Fat Apple diaper is made with an outer woven or knit fabric of your choice, and a hidden layer of Polartec® WindPro® fabric, which is a highly breathable yet extremely water repellent fabric. Touching the baby’s bum is a layer of TexTest certified cotton velour in a color that matches the outer print.

The Fat Apple soaker consists of an inner core of microfiber that is sandwiched between 2 layers of Oeko-Tex 100, GOTS certified bamboo fleece and covered with the same cotton velour that is used in the shell. All of this is sewn together with a bias tape that is made with the same outer fabric, making it match the outside print of the diaper. This matching insert will facilitate laundry time, making it easier to match shell and insert when folding the diaper back together.

Now I have to say that when I received this diaper I wasn't a big fan of the bulk it gave BUT after trying it out for a month and washing it made it softer and I didn't even notice it any longer. It may be a issue if you were trying to put pants over it but for night time with pj's on I LOVE it! Here is how it looks on.
